Dhananjaya Yeshwant Chandrachud (born 11 November 1959), often referred to as DY Chandrachud , is an Indian jurist, who served as the 50th Chief Justice of India from 9 November 2022 to 10 November 2024. He was appointed a judge of the Supreme Court of India in May 2016.
