He was an Indian Wrestler who became the first Indian independent athlete to win a bronze medal at the Summer Olympics in 1952. He was awarded the Arjuna Award in 2000. Khashaba Dadasaheb Jadhav died at the age of 58 in a road accident on 14-08-1984 in Karad, Satara district in the state of Maharashtra, India. He is best known as a wrestler who won a bronze medal at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki. He was one of the first athletes from India to win a medal in the Olympics.
