One of the major hill forts in the Indian state of Maharashtra is Lohagad . Lohagad fort is 52 km (32 mi) northwest of Pune, near the hill station Lonavala. It rises to an elevation of 1,033 m (3,389 ft) above sea level. A short-range separates the fort from the nearby Visapur fort.
