Complaints will be provided with a unique complaint ID number and complainants can use this unique ID number to track the progress of complaints. The complaint will be auto assigned to the concerned railway functionary for redressal. Validations for station name, train number and PNR number have been built into the application for user convenience. Indian Railways has a total track length of 65,000 kilometres. All old helpline numbers will be replaced with the Indian Railways' new number 139. This number is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week if any problems arise while travelling by rail. The Rail Madad app was created by the Ministry of Railways in response to passenger complaints. Passengers can register complaints about any trouble faced during the journey through WhatsApp on 7982139139. Passengers with reserved and unreserved tickets can complain using PNR or UTS number. The status of the complaint can also be checked from this chatbot.
