The Railway Police replaced a part of the Watch and Ward set-up of the Private Railway Companies in 1881, following the enactment of the Police Act in 1861. The Railway Protection Force , mandated with the security of railway property, passenger safety and crime prevention across one of the world’s largest rail networks, stands to benefit from her visionary and inclusive leadership. • On October 31, under Operation Narcos conducted by Team RPF/Thalassery, 3.940 kg of unclaimed ganja worth ₹1.97 lakh was seized at Thalassery Railway Station. The seized item was handed over to the Excise Department, Kuthuparamba.
