Ajmal Kasab ’s testimony revealed the involvement of several major figures in the 26/11 conspiracy, including top terrorist Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi. His accomplice, Ismail Khan, was killed in a police encounter near Chowpatty in South Mumbai on the morning of November 27. According to reports, Kasab had joined the banned Pakistan-based Islamist group Lashkar-e-Taiba seeking weapons training, initially motivated by aspirations for a life of crime. However, some accounts suggest he was misled by his father, who sought financial benefit. Following his capture, Kasab first denied involvement but later confessed to his role in the attacks and his training under the terrorist group. The last words Lashkar-e-Taiba operative Ajmal Amir Kasab said to senior police inspector Ramesh Mahale were, “Aap jeet gaye, main har gaya [you won, I lost].” The admission came in November ...
