Bodh Gaya is the holiest site of Buddhism, where Gautama Buddha is said to have attained enlightenment under the Bodhi Tree. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a place of pilgrimage for Buddhists and Hindus, with many temples and monuments dating back to ancient times. Bodh Gaya is a Buddhist pilgrimage site in Gaya District of Bihar. Famous for the Mahabodhi Temple, It was here under the Bodhi tree that Gautama Buddha attained enlightenment.
