Burhan wani: On July 8

On July 8, 2016, Indian occupation forces tracked and martyred Burhan Wani in a remote village in Kokernag area of south Kashmir. But far from silencing the movement, his martyrdom triggered an explosion of mass protests that Kashmir had not seen in decades. बु र हान मुज़फ़्फ़र वानी (अंग्रेजी: Burhan Muzaffar Wan i),पाकिस्तानी समर्थित इस्लामिक आतंकवादी संगठन का एक कमांडर था। [4][5][6] जिसको ०८जुलाई २०१६ को एनकाउंटर करके मार गिराया। [7] बु र हान वानी के अलावा इनके ७ और आतंकवादी सदस्यों को मार गिराया है। [8] Burhan Wani may have fallen to an Indian bullet, but he never truly died. He became what the occupying state fears most: a symbol that only grows stronger with time. Wani ’ s death has generated unprecedented public hysteria, in keeping with his image as a glamourous, tech savvy, insurgent. The lessons to be drawn from this event go beyond the conventional understanding of violence in Kashmir.
