To operationalise the scheme, Government of India and SIDBI set up the Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises ( CGTMSE ). I. INTRODUCTION The Board of Trustees of Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises ( CGTMSE ), had framed a Scheme for the purpose of providing guarantees in respect of credit facilities extended by Lending Institutions to the borrowers in Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs). The details of the Scheme are given below: CGTMSE is a trust set up by Government of India and SIDBI to provide guarantee cover for collateral free credit to micro and small enterprises (MSEs). It offers a hybrid security product and aims to strengthen credit delivery system and facilitate flow of credit to MSEs. CGTMSE has created a new landmark by touching the milestone figure of approving guarantees worth `1 lakh crore during FY 2022 - 23. This financial achievement has been an outcome of various key initiative implemented during the financial year.
