JP Nadda is an Indian politician and the National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) since 2020. He is a former Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, and a former Rajya Sabha MP from Himachal Pradesh. Jagat Prakash Nadda is an Indian politician and the President of the Bharatiya Janta Party since June 2019. He is the former Union Minister of Health and Family and member of Rajya Sabha from Himachal Pradesh and Parliamentary Board Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Party. Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda was born on December 2, 1960, to Dr. Narain Lal Nadda and Shrimati Krishna Nadda . He received his early education at St. Xavier's School, Patna. His father was a professor at Patna University and later became the Vice-Chancellor of Ranchi University. As a child, he participated in the relay fast as part of the J.P . movement against the then Congress Chief Minister of Bihar, Shri Abdul Gafur. He was elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha from Gujarat and took oath on April 6, 2024. On June 11, 2024, Shri J . P . Nadda assumed the role of Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare and Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers.
