Raksha bandhan movie: Film released on 11th August

Film released on 11th August 2022 on eve of Raksha Bandhan with Laal Singh Chaddha.Both films faced boycott trend by and had slow start at box office which picked up later. Raksha Bandhan : Directed by Aanand L. Rai. With Akshay Kumar, Bhumi Pednekar, Sadia Khateeb, Manu Rishi Chadha. Lala Kedarnath promises his dying mother to marry his 4 sisters well. Owner of family chat shop, he has trouble finding suitors. His sisters take priority over childhood romance with Sapna. Thalaivi is an upcoming Indian multilingual biographical film about the life of J. Jayalalithaa, politician and film actress who served six terms as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, with Kangana Ranaut playing the role of Jayalalithaa. From it's trailer, one could figure out that Raksha Bandhan won't offer a story that hasn't been told a thousand times already, but I was confident that at least it would be heartwarming, entertaining and truly worth watching; but to my surprise it turned out to be quite shallow.
