Sonal Shah is the wife of BJP President Amit Shah and a BJP leader herself. She is from Kolhapur, Maharashtra, and has a net worth of 2.3 crore INR as of 2019. In April 2023, Shah was promoted to Senior Associate Director, a role she retained until March 2025, prior to her latest change in roles. Before KPMG India, Shah worked at Bharti Airtel for nearly three years. Sonal started her career at the U.S. Department of Treasury where she was an international economist working on timely development issues, including post-conflict development in Bosnia, Asian financial crisis, and poverty reduction in Africa. Sonal studied at the New Education Society's Princess Padmaraje Girls Highschool in Kolhapur. She then moved to Gujarat following her wedding to Amit Shah in 1987.
