Swift hybrid mileage: For India

For India, Maruti is working on a brand new affordable series hybrid tech. Rumours suggest the company plans to use the new 1.2-litre Z-series engine with a small floor-mounted battery pack. This setup is set to return a claimed mileage of 35 kmpl mated to an eCVT gearbox. Maruti’s hybrid tech is expected to debut on the facelifted Fronx in late 2025, while the next-gen Swift will get it in 2026.
