the Income-tax Act, 1961 ( 'the Act'), extends the due date of furnishing of Return of Income under sub-section (1) of section 139 of the Act for the Assessment Year 2025-26 in the case ofassessees referred in clause ( c) of Explanation 2 to sub-section ( 1) of section 139 of the Act, which is 3 pt July, 2025 to 15th September, 2025. The last date for the filing of Income Tax Returns (ITR) for the financial year 2024-25 (Assessment Year 2025-26) has been extended. ITR Filing Last Date 2025: The income tax department extended the ITR filing deadline for FY2024-25 to September 15, 2025, for individuals and HUFs.
